And as far as the gift thing, we can't really test that until it's fixed anyway, but hey at least there's a way to play multiple characters! SO you can experiment with other builds or whatever and then maybe decide which one you like best and just play that one and build your pawn on that one.Let me start off by saying this is a great game. Again, just save at an inn to sync your pawn to the game server.Ģ. Basically, your friends will play with the last pawn that was synced to the game server on whatever character you were last playing.

You can also play offline on your second character if you don't want your second pawn syncing with the server, that is if you want other people to play your original pawn of course. You have to do this BEFORE you log out or go AFK for a long period of time (for bed or whatever) if you want people to play a certain pawn. You can control which pawn you want other people/your friends using ONLY IF you manually switch to that specific character, log into the game, and save at an inn to sync your current pawn info to the server. You can use the same one or you can make a new one. When doing this, you will have different pawns! When you create your second character and get to the Encampment stone to create your second pawn, it will prompt you to use the same one. UPDATE: Two important things to remember!ġ. Then if I wanted to play my Strider, I'd copy the files from the "Strider" save folder I made and then paste them over and replace all files in ".\367500\remote" and then start the game.Īlways make sure you copy all files from the ".\367500\remote" folder into the save folder you made when you are done playing that character or BEFORE you switch to your other character!! If you don't do this, you might forget and just write over your previous save on your other character, and then you will have to start back at whatever save file you did save! So if I was last playing my Fighter, I'd copy and paste the files from the ".\367500\remote" folder into the "Fighter" folder that I made. Now when you want to switch characters, just copy all files in ".\367500\remote" and paste to the corresponding character save folder you made. I made a Fighter for my second character, so I copy all files over from ".\367500\remote" and paste them into the "Fighter" folder I just made.ĭO NOT put two "DDDA.sav" files in a single folder, they should be separate obviously to avoid confusion! Now go back to your ".\367500\remote" folder and copy the new "DDDA.sav" file into one of the other folders you made. Again, make sure you save the game before the next step, or you won't have any files to copy/paste lol.
If this happens, DON'T WORRY! Just start a new game and then make sure to save your new game. For some reason even after deleting the files out of the remote folder, you can start the game back up where you left off originally.
Now to start a new character, delete everything in the ".\367500\remote" folder and start up the game and create a new game. For example, my first character is my Strider, so I copy everything in the ".\367500\remote" over to the "Strider" folder that I just made. (Some say you only need to copy over the "DDDA.sav" file, but I copied everything over from the remote folder just to be safe and it still works). Then what you want to do is copy and paste the "DDDA.sav" file from the ".\367500\remote" folder over to one of the folders you just made. One named "Fighter" and the other named "Strider." Inside that folder, make separate folders for the different characters you will be making. Make another folder anywhere, desktop is probably easiest. In the remote folder is your save file "DDDA.sav" and other numbered files. The first number "75949138" might be different, but the "367500" number should be the same for everyone, so if you have multiple folders just open them all until you find 367500.
